Tsumeb lies en route to the Etosha Game Reserve. This town, established in 1905, is the most important mining town in Namibia. The mine is also a source of all sorts of beautiful minerals and crystals. A unique collection of examples is exhibited in the local museum.
Etosha National Park is one of the major sanctuaries for wildlife in Africa. Here tourists can experience wide open spaces and abundant wildlife, making a visit to the park an unforgettable experience. The park is situated approxamitely 100km to the north of Tsumeb.

The community project "Tsumeb Cultural Village" is an open air musuem. The project invites tourists to get an insight into the rural life of Namibian tribes.
The "Etosha Cafe" situated in the main street of Tsumeb invites you to come and enjoy refreshments any time of day. Karen the owner also sells a vast variety of curios and gifts.
